Compassion deeply values child protection, and educates their stakeholders on the dangerous situations that children in poverty can find themselves in. Through child sponsorship carried out by the local churches in these poor communities, a child has access to a different live where they can be loved, known, and protected.
The following are selected collections of global social media content kits I helped create to deploy to our global marketing partners. Each topic educates the viewer on an important topic, along with an accompanying real-life story from the field where Compassion does their work in partnership with frontline church partners.
FGM Awareness
Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is not something many people are aware of that takes place in several cultures today. Compassion equips their church partners with the ability to help stop FGM from taking place. For this social media content kit, I was given content to turn into approachable and eye-catching imagery for this difficult topic. Through the design process, I was also able to influence the content itself. I identified that we needed to first introduce the audience to the topic of FGM, and make it more educational for those who know nothing about the issue.

Child Marriage
For this Child Marriage content set, I utilized the same illustrative style to create background textures and photo frames for this story about Djamila.

Colour Conference Animated Ad
The graphics and story from these content sets were then utilized for another project, a women's conference. I was asked to create more illustrations and animate this 30 second ad to play during breaks in the conference to engage viewers with Compassion and educate them on the work the church partners do to protect young girls.
Child Labour, Child Trafficking, and Child Soldiers
This series of graphics was released in one kit with accompanying photos, videos and stories. Strings and ropes across the images communicate the bondage that children in poverty can experience. When talking about these hard topics, the ropes are tight and straight. But when the content switches to hope, and how Compassion helps, the strings begin to break apart, and become more joyful and open while also complementing the accompanying hopeful photo set of Compassion children flying kites.

Day of the Girl
While some social content features difficult realities of poverty, other content sets, like this one, focus on celebrating the incredible participants of the Compassion program. This content set was created for International Day of the Girl, and displays the strength and determination of these young girls through bold and gritty graphics.
