Compassion UK partnered with the Global Marketing team to ideate new ways to increase the average number of new sponsors at each Compassion UK volunteer-led church event. Through researching the current experience and understanding the needs of volunteer hosts and prospective supporters, we pitched over 12 ideas of new event experiences, ultimately choosing the "Immerse Yourself" concept.
In this new event experience, we reorganized and reframed the story content to center around one Compassion participant, allowing the audience to fully immerse themselves in what it's like for a child to go through the Compassion program. We also designed a seat drop postcard for each church member to take home with them, highlighting the most important information about Compassion.
Stand Up Banners
The main part of the Compassion Volunteer-Led events is a presentation that the volunteer host gives to the church congregation. Before and after the presentation, the congregants have the opportunity to walk around these banners, giving them the opportunity to understand all of the people who surround a sponsored child in the Compassion program contributing to their positive development.
